WARNING !!!
This page has been created to put to rest the notion that "Faith" is something that cannot be seen. In this work Michael K. Peacock "Exposes the Elements of Faith", so that anyone can understand them and then be able to move forward with the positive life that they desire.
Introduction
The following scripture text will be the basis of our work.
..."but the just shall live by his faith."(Habakkuk 2:4b)
..."as it is written, The just shall live by faith." (Romans 1:17b)
Now it is from these two references that we present the Idea that in order for someone to live off of something it must be tangible.
BELIEF vs. FAITH
The first thing that we must come to understand is that belief is not faith. Belief or "to Believe" is not the same as faith although it can be called the seed of faith.
Elements of Faith
Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
At this point I must expose to you the elements or ingredients that make Faith a tangible or manifested object or thing, which in turn gives us the ability to live by it. From this base text we can discover four elements or basic parts of Faith.
1. Substance
2. Hope
3. Evidence
4. Things not seen
Now that we have exposed the "Elements of Faith" we can begin to construct the rest of this work.
Four Elements ?
As we look at the four elements we can see that element number two and element number four are the same. with this discovery we can now say that there are only three elements not four. Well, lets move forward with our study and see if that holds out to be true.
Elements Defined
Now lets define these elements.
1. Hope / Things not seen
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. (Romans 8:24-25)
From this text we see that in order for our hope to be true hope, it must be for something that is not seen or that we do not have. This can also be called a Vision.
2. Substance
And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and many others ministered unto him of their substance. (Luke 8:3)
In this text we see that Joanna ministered or gave of her substance to help and this means it must be something tangible or solid.
3. Evidence
For by it (the evidence) the elders obtained a good report. (Hebrews 11:2)
The background of this reference text pertains to when the spies returned from checking out the promised land. The elders did not go into the land with them so the spies brought back some of the fruit of the land to show as evidence. (Numbers 13:26)
The Fourth Element
Even so faith, if it have not works, is dead, being alone. (James 2:17)
From this text we can see that there is dead faith. Dead faith is defined as having no work involved with it.
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. (James 2:18)
This text puts the cap on it, here we see that James shows us that your faith can be seen by your works.
In the next column we will discuss how you can manifest your faith.

Manifesting Your Faith
In this section we will show you the process that is involved in manifesting your faith or creating the life that you want to live.
The Starting Point
The starting point for anyone who wants to change their life is that they must have the desire to change.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, (Mark 11:24a)
If there is no desire within the person for real change then there will not be lasting change. This is one reason why some folks go back to where they started.
Must have a Vision
We talked a little about Hope and Vision being related. Now I say that you must also have a vision, (hope) a mental picture of where you want to go or what you want to become. Our reference states..,
Where there is no vision, the people perish: (Proverbs 29:18a)
Since faith is the substance of the hope, and we are to live by our faith (hope or vision) if we do not have one than we don't have the basic building block that we need to live. Therefore we must have a vision so that we can work on bringing the vision into reality.
Write Your Vision
Once you become aware that you have an internal desire for a better life and you can visualize it than you should write it down on paper so that you can read it and share it with others.
Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, (Habakkuk 2:2b)
This writing of the vision or your hope is the start of the manifestation or the bringing into the seen realm, your faith.
Gather the Substance
Now that you have written down your vision you can begin to gather the parts and speak the words that will help bring it to pass or from the unseen into the seen.
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir or the righteousness which is by faith (Hebrews 11:7a)
This is the classic story that we have heard about Noah's Ark, I even remember when the gas stations gave out the ark as toys for the kids. Now lets really look at this and realize that Noah had to gather all the parts or pieces to build this giant boat. And so it goes with you if you want to live you are going to have to gather all the pieces or parts to make your life better. See Genesis chapter 6 for the story and try to see the process of how this came to pass.
The Blending
At this point there will be a blending, what do I mean by this? This is the point where the old world or ways and the new ways will begin to blend and this will lead to a clash of ideals. We want the new for it is better and yet the old will refuse to let us go, realize that this will pass and the rough seas of change will become calm.
Call your Higher Power
During the time where we are experiencing rough seas we must remember to call our higher power or the God of our understanding so that we stay on the positive path.
His disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. (Matthew 8: 25-26)
This is an example of what my Jesus can do and I hope that your God can do the same because sometimes that will be our only defense or help in times of trouble.
The Final Ingredient
Now I want to share with you the final ingredient because without it none of this will work
But the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. (the word) (Hebrews 4:2b)
There has to be something inside you or this will not work. In the rooms of recovery they call this "giving of yourself" without that I have seen people end up in the ditch.
